Named for Medal of Honor recipient and industrialist Charles H. Coolidge, the park opened in 1999 on reclaimed riverfront land on Chattanooga's North Shore. It features a restored 1894 Dentzel carousel and sits at the south end of the Walnut Street Bridge.
