Event Photography Jobs
Lookout Visual sources and coordinates local freelance event photographers in Walker County, GA to capture corporate, private, and community events across the Northwest Georgia region.
Walker County, GA
Walker County, GA sits at the center of a busy corridor of events, from corporate gatherings near Chickamauga to private functions along Lookout Mountain and Rising Fawn. Lookout Visual assembles a local roster of freelance event photographers who know this region and can be on-site reliably for assignments of all sizes. If you are a working photographer based in or near Walker County, we want to hear from you.
Lookout Visual looks for photographers who show up on time, bring professional-grade gear, and have documented experience covering live events. Reliability is the single most important quality — an event cannot be reshot. We also look for photographers who communicate clearly before and after each assignment, and who deliver edited images within the agreed window. Prior experience with corporate, conference, or private event photography in Northwest Georgia is a strong advantage.
Our Walker County assignments span corporate meetings, employee recognition events, conferences, fundraising galas, and private celebrations. We also cover chamber events, community functions, and venue-specific productions across the Chickamauga, LaFayette, and Rossville areas. Each event has its own visual requirements, and we match photographers to assignments based on their specific experience and portfolio. If an event is happening in Walker County or the surrounding region, Lookout Visual is positioned to staff it.
Each assignment begins with a written brief that outlines the event schedule, required shot list, client expectations, and delivery deadline. The photographer arrives on-site, captures the event according to the brief, and submits edited images through our delivery system. Lookout Visual handles all client communication before and after the shoot, so photographers focus entirely on the coverage itself. Assignments are self-contained — there is no obligation to accept every offer we send.
Photographers interested in Walker County assignments submit a short application that includes a portfolio link, a summary of event experience, and their equipment list. We review every submission and schedule a brief discovery call with qualified applicants. Once onboarded, photographers are added to our active roster and receive assignment offers based on availability and fit. There is no cost to join the roster and no minimum number of assignments required.
We expect photographers to arrive with a full-frame or comparable mirrorless camera body, at least one fast prime or zoom lens suited to low-light interiors, and an off-camera or on-camera flash where appropriate. A working backup body is strongly preferred for any assignment longer than two hours. Beyond gear, strong situational awareness — the ability to frame key moments without disrupting the event — is the skill we value most. Familiarity with venue lighting conditions common to Northwest Georgia ballrooms, conference centers, and outdoor spaces is a practical plus.
Assignment offers are sent via email with the event date, location, duration, deliverables, and per-event rate clearly stated. Photographers confirm or decline within the response window — no pressure and no penalty for declining. Payment is issued per completed assignment after the edited image delivery is confirmed by our production team. We process payments on a net-15 schedule and provide a simple 1099-ready payment record at year end.
Our primary coverage area includes Walker County, GA and the surrounding Northwest Georgia region, including Lookout Mountain, Rising Fawn, Chickamauga, LaFayette, and Rossville. We also coordinate photographers for events across the greater Chattanooga, TN metro when local talent is the right fit. If you are based in or near Walker County, you are well-positioned for our active assignment pool.
We look for photographers who have completed at least a handful of live event assignments — corporate functions, galas, conferences, or comparable private events. A portfolio that demonstrates clean editorial coverage of people in real event environments is the clearest indicator of readiness. We do not require a specific number of years in the industry, but prior event-specific work is required.
All Lookout Visual assignments are per-event freelance engagements. You are not an employee, and there is no ongoing commitment required from either side. Photographers on our roster receive assignment offers and choose whether to accept each one based on their own availability and interest.
Submit your application through the Lookout Visual photographer inquiry form, which asks for your portfolio link, a brief summary of your event experience, and your equipment list. We review submissions on a rolling basis and reach out to schedule a discovery call with candidates who are a strong match. The process is straightforward and does not require an in-person meeting to get started.
A professional-grade camera body — full-frame or mirrorless equivalent — with lenses capable of performing in mixed and low-light environments is the baseline requirement. A flash unit and a backup body are strongly preferred for assignments over two hours. We review equipment lists during the onboarding process and can discuss whether your current kit meets the requirements for specific assignment types.
Payment is issued on a net-15 schedule following confirmed delivery of edited images for each assignment. The per-event rate is stated clearly in every assignment offer before you accept. We issue 1099-ready payment records at the end of the tax year for all photographers who complete assignments through Lookout Visual.
